Our challenge was to drive targeted adidas sign-ups in Spain and Germany in the build up to the 2018 Football World Cup in Russia.

We worked directly with the national teams to create one-off signed shirts from the biggest name players at the tournament. David De Gea, Koke and David Silva from Spain, and Neuer, Hummels, Ozil and Muller from Germany. We elevated the shirts labelling them ‘trophies’ and offering them as prizes in return for sign-ups.

The campaign was promoted through adidas social channels and via Onefootball app. Despite both teams underperforming and being knocked out during the group stages of the competition, the content spiked interest gaining 20,000 sign-ups in the two countries.
